Autumn Hikes of The Floyds Fork Greenway
21st Century Parks has created a series of hikes this fall to introduce participants to The Floyds Fork Greenway. Each Saturday will feature a different location and an opportunity for you to learn and explore with naturalist, Michael Gaige. We look forward to continuing the series next spring as well.
Southern Community Park
Saturday, October 31st -10:00 a.m.
- Consists of recovering wetland, waterfall and Floyds Fork
- Flat terrain, open to all abilities
- Estimated 2 hour duration
- Limited to 20 participants
Turkey Run Gorge
Saturday, November 7th- 10:00 am
- One of the largest and most diverse properties in the Fork
- Two miles consisting of various terrain - the most challenging option
- Estimated 3 hour duration
- Limited to 15 Participants
Historic Stout Bottomlands
Saturday, November 14th – 10:00 a.m.
- One of the oldest property sites in the Fork, full of agricultural legacy and natural history
- One mile hike consisting of flat and open terrain, open to all abilities
- Estimated 2 hour duration
- Limited to 20 Participants
Come prepared with the appropriate attire (be prepared for uneven terrain and a possible muddiness).
