The Parklands of Floyds Fork — A Dream Realized By 21st Century Parks
The Parklands is a systemic, world-class addition to Louisville’s parks system that includes four major parks linked by a scenic park drive, a world-class urban trail system, and a remarkable water trail, all tracing Floyds Fork, a classic Kentucky stream. The public/private project is unique in the region and unlike anything currently in development across the country. This is a city-shaping model for the world to follow.
Encompassing nearly 4,000 acres in eastern Jefferson County, The Parklands offers something for people of all ages and abilities.
Walking, hiking and running are some of the most accessible activities for improving health, exploring, and experiencing nature. Whether you like to walk on paved, dirt or stone surfaces, just one or over 10 miles—The Parklands is the place for you.
Whether you prefer a smooth pathway, paved road, or a rugged dirt trail, The Parklands offers a great biking experience. Choose your route based on the trail usage, distance and difficulty information found on The Parklands website.
Paddle along Floyds Fork, the only water trail of its kind in the Louisville area. Paddling access points are provided at various lengths along the Fork, including 20 miles that lie within The Parklands of Floyds Fork.
In addition to wowing guests of your next event or celebration with the breathtaking views of our various rental facilities, you can also take comfort knowing all revenue goes directly back into supporting annual operations of this donor-supported public park.
